Hi Everyone, I’m Frank from Ghana. I have been in tech working on WordPress websites for over 7 years I have been going through many tutorials on JavaScript however, I don’t feel confident in my abilities and seem to never complete a programming course. I am hoping to finish this course and get a certification which will boost my confidence and hopefully be able to join a software development team to help me with this career change. Nice to e-meet you all! I hope we are all able to complete this course and achieve our goals.

Hi Ramon,

I’m Michael in Australia. I work as a data quality developer for a government department. I love football (soccer) and enjoying time with my wife and son (who is 1). I help support a JS application at work but know little about JS so looking to improve my skills around it and also need to skill up to work on the Angular framework and understand I need a base of JS knowledge for this, so hoping I can get my head around it all.

Hello Everybody!. I’m from Africa, living in Kenya. I’m aspiring to be a software engineer. And I’m grateful that Ramon is here to guide us and familiarize us with the JavaScript language. From this bootcamp, I’m hoping to be familiar in JavaScript and learn things and be able to work on projects all by myself.

If you’re into Web Development, I would say stay consistent with your learning and practicing, but mostly practicing. At the end it’s what’s going to help you land a job and get it done. Most people say create projects from scratch, which I think is great but don’t spend too much time on creating many.

I would suggest to study the basics and look at templates of websites either already built or in jpeg format and try to replicate them from scratch with your own CSS and Javascript, React, Vue, etc. If you don’t know how to do something look it up, study your findings and apply it to your copy of the mockup. If something doesn’t work, don’t give up, you can’t give up when you have a job and you must always find a solution. At the end, that’s what we do as developers, find solutions for others. You will find that this helps with your future jobs and fixing bugs that constantly come up in real life. Download already built templates and see how the developer wrote the code, this will also help you a lot. Start making small changes to your liking and you will get better and better.

This is what helped me land a job and it is still helping me today. Stay in touch man!
