Hey everyone!, I’m new to all of this, never done coding before in my life, I don’t even know why I signed up for it or why I’m interested, I guess I just want to secure my future in terms of different skillsets for the job market, I saw that entry-level web devs make around $63k-$70kCad per year, I’ve been doing dead-end jobs the past 6yrs since I entered the job market, but now I’m looking for a skillset where I can get a job that you can actually afford to live on.

9-5s don’t cut it anymore, IDC how long it takes me if it’s a year or two or three. I will learn this skill set bit by bit, and then when I know everything I need to know and am proficient in my coding, land a good-paying tech job as a freelancer on the side. Right now I’m looking for multiple ways to make money on the internet and Tech & Marketing is the big 2 so my interests lie there.

I wasn’t able to be a part of the classes in Jan or Feb, I’m still trying to figure out this website, like where can I go to view all the classes and assignments I missed? the link to enter the class just takes me to FreeCodeCamp which I’ve already started doing before and already have an account with, self-paced courses you can access anytime are beautiful ways to learn but I also like videos I can watch anytime too and that site doesn’t have any vids of the instructors explaining how to learn coding and all of its concepts.

Anyways, I’m happy to be here, this is free so I’ll take advantage of that and use the course over and over again until I get it right.

Welcome Sydney! Here’s a link to the cohort homepage. Generally you enroll, and it’s no longer listed as it’s not active. I’m not sure if you needed to be signed up during the course to see everything. The videos / live sessions are a companion to doing the freecodecamp certification.
