I think you should learn a lot about it, its like the perfect language for a professional designer.
Anyway just a thought, if you learn a lot of all even better, lol.

EDIT: Never mind i figured it out! It turns out i was missing the var() in front of the --building-color1 and the --window-color1 variables.
