Hello EVERYONE!

Rashid Chowdhury here. Born, raised, and living in the Philippines. :philippines:

I currently work as a technical support/helpdesk and hoping to shift careers to development - either in web or software. I hope to be a DevOps/DevSecOps one day as I see the path/role more suited to my personality and skills. I have five dogs which are all rescued and they’re the main reason I go to work.

From this boot camp, I’m hoping to gain confidence in myself, the projects I make, collaborate with other people in making portfolio projects, and ideas for portfolio projects that will put me on top of the list.

Hello,

I’m Ayush(ash in short), 16 and I live in India. I’ve been learning basic languages from around when I was in 8th grade (now in 11th). I learned HTML and CSS just by simply copying code lines from many websites (W3Schools, GeeksForGeeks, StackOverflow,GitHub etc) just to make an HTML button, write content decorating and organising the stuff with CSS etc. I eventually learned 90% of HTML and CSS (except animation, :before and :after stuff in CSS). Now I look forward to start learning Javascript and then PHP so that I can finally make a full end blog website using HTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP.

What’s your thoughts after being a freelancer for awhile?
Is it stressful?
What would you say the pros and cons are for you?

Heya, thanks for asking!

People often say being a freelancer is like being your own boss. On top of that, I think it’s also like being your own employee!

As previously mentioned, I loved being able to explore so many different facets of tech by freelancing. I worked on new things and met new people constantly.

Pricing yourself and knowing your worth is hard. It helps me to know the market avae

I find it requires discipline, to know when to stop working, to separate work and relaxation, and taking holidays. I didn’t for a long time, and I paid for it.
