My name is Alex from Oregon. I currently work as a CSIRT Incident Handler for a large SaaS company. Excited to learn JavaScript and add some programming knowledge to my toolkit. I enjoy playing guitar (poorly but it is a journey) as well as video games and movies.

Hi Everyone!

Iā€™m Lauren from California. I am a musician, with a lot of different work experience. Iā€™ve done a lot of computer programming, but I have never held a real job as a programmer, except for a weird music-app startup. My goal is to get a job that I can work remotely. Iā€™m scared that this will be difficult because I am kind of old. I have zeroed in on JavaScript because I have read that it is one of the most marketable computer skills. In addition to learning the course materials, I really want to understand how I can get a job in this field despite the strikes against me.

Iā€™ve done a lot of programming in Python, and got a taste of JavaScript doing some modeling in Unity. In addition to music (my biggest passion) I enjoy running, climbing, and learning Spanish. Mi espaƱol he mejorado mucho durante el pandĆ©mico, y me gusta platicar, leer, ver pelĆ­culas, escuchar podcasts e audiobooks, y escribir en espaƱol. Mi sueƱo es conseguir un trabajo que puedo hacer de forma remota en latinoamĆ©rica, particularmente en una ciudad de los Andes.
