Hi Joe, from reading your post I would say you are way beyond my level - I can do basic programming in Python, a little bit of HTML5 and a tiny bit of CSS. I am hoping to get to grips with JS during this course, but Iām not sure. I use both Atom and Programmerās Notepad to write my code but neither of them seem to have console functionality in order to check code. What will you use to write and check your code? Sorry to dump a question like this on you just before the start of the course, but I just want to be ready to go!
Hi Hola_soy_milk, when you say this is a self paced boot camp, is there a time limit on learning? Or are we able to spread it out more or less as we like?
Hi Bill, thanks for the question, itās no problem at all.
I have tried Atom in the past but just couldnāt get used to how it felt, and I have never used Programmerās Notepad but I have heard of it.
I have been using Visual Studio Code for the past 5 years or so and I love it. I would easily recommend it to anyone getting started with front end dev, and even for some back end dev depending on which language you were goign to use.
I did a short video on setting up VSCode a few years ago for a different course I was in on front end development, it might be useful for you.
My name is Amm, from Washington DC. I graduated and worked in the IT field when I was in Thailand, but I stopped working in IT since I moved to the U.S.A due to my language barrier.
This is a great opportunity to refresh and develop my coding knowledge to get back to work in the IT area again.
Thank you to the instructor and freeCodeCamp team for all the hardwork to create the value programme. I am greatly appreciated.
Hi everyone! My name is Nicole. I am an automation developer and Iām looking to expand my knowledge in JS. Iām excited to be part of this bootcamp!

So I started doing the Javascript course late last year and I have 2 more projects I have yet to submit to get my certification, but I want to do a revision with fresh eyes and with a help of an instructor (this time around). Iām excited!
