Hey all, has anyone begun the “Colored Markers” lesson yet? Im currently on step one and having issues.

Step 1:
As you’ve seen in the previous projects, webpages should start with a DOCTYPE html declaration, followed by an html element.

Add a DOCTYPE html declaration at the top of the document, and an html element after that.

This is what I believe to be correct:

However I continuously receive " Your html element should be below the DOCTYPE declaration." When running the code!! Is it not below the Declaration?!?!

I haven’t tried it, but maybe they mean directly below, instead of the white space between the lines? Or perhaps it’s possible there’s a typo?

Edit: I just saw another post in the forum, where the solution was switching to Chrome — maybe also check another browser? (Others also suggested AdBlocker extensions could be causing a problem)
