"Hasta la vista, baby". Bye for now... KEEP IN TOUCH!

Hello everyone!!

You can keep in touch with me here: https://www.linkedin.com/in/carlos-torres-spain/ I don’t use to speak by the sake of it, so believe me when I say: I would be happy to know how are you doing in real life.

I know that I don’t have a picture right now. I’m not particularly attractive, so you weren’t missing much either. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Actually, I never have posted a photo of me online till last year, but I will do soon. I am pestering my friends right now asking wich picture I can choose for LinkedIn, they are loving it this :smirk:. Well, I think there is one picture of me in Facebook when I did a Cupcakes course!!  The girl who tought the course did it.

Congrats for the good work and keep learning!! Don’t give up, be grit with your ultimate goal. There are many stones in the road but remember that you always can keep walking. :muscle: If you need inspiration or encouragement you can always turn to the TED talks page.

I want to apologize to the teachers for being a noisy student. I was just trying to involve others in the classes and ask questions that could help everyone. My sense of humor probably doesn’t mesh well with the chats, but I hope I helped rather than annoyed. I love helping others (I think it’s part of the way I learn) and sharing what I know or what I came up with when I was learning something, I think helps others too. Well, I’m not sure, I hope so.

I want to share one last thought with all of you: there is only one way to meet and listen to someone, read a book or see something… by suspending disbelief, being naif. This means that you have to approach it without prejudices or the table of values of your culture or time, and believe what they are telling you (using your empathy), there will be time to analyze it. In short, as a child would do it. I hope you never lose the child in you, it has never been as important as it is now. And related to that, two recomendations:

  1. a talk, sooo important in this times: 10 ways to have a better conversation by Celeste Headlee

  2. and a novel: Things Fall Apart (1958) by the nigerian poet, writer and critic Chinua Achebe. One of my favourites for sure, writed in plain english but really deep in their thoughts. Very easy to read, yet one of the most important novels of tweinth century.

This is my last * Web Development Bootcamp*, it was great as always but the show must go on. Thank you Jess (@jesslynnrose ) and all the lovely people from Class Central :gift_heart:. And many thanks to all my classmates, a fantastic study group, it’s always a pleasure to be surrounded by people smarter than I :sunglasses:  .

Happy coding and life!

Hi Carlos,

I’m gonna run your wave and also add my LinkedIn, in case anyone wanted to keep in touch: https://www.linkedin.com/in/dominika-wojewska-b0207054/ . I hang out mostly on Discord, which didn’t leave much time to keep up with the forum

it was amazing to be a part of this bootcamp and have y’all as classmates, I really hope we can stay in touch and continue to give each other feedback and support

happy coding!

@carlost2672543 Thank you for that lovely inspiration! You’ve been an awesome classmate, thanks so much for your help in the Youtube chat all the time too.

This bootcamp was a ton of fun–WAY better than when I tried doing freeCodeCamp by myself over the summer. It feels so much better to learn stuff when you have other folks learning alongside you! People focus a lot on how learning in a group means that you can ask questions or get help, but IMO, just the plain social part is way more valuable and important. Knowing there would always be some friendly faces (well, figuratively) in the chat made me way more motivated to show up for the streams, and I got so much inspiration for my projects from seeing what you all were making! And of course, HUGE thanks to Jess and Kinjal who did an amazing job running all this for us!!

I’m definitely planning to stick around on the forum and Discord, and I still have half the assignments left to complete, so you haven’t seen the last of me yet haha. And I’m super excited to move on to the Javascript bootcamp next time it’s run, so maybe I’ll see some of you there too! (Aside from those powerhouses among you who took both bootcamps at once… you folks are impressive.)

I’m anxious about sharing anything like Linkedin that has my real-world identity, but I would love to keep in touch on Twitter or Github or Discord (entropy#4419–feel free to DM/friend request)! I’m also hoping to keep trying to do coding streams on Twitch, including while I finish the fCC coursework, and I’d be delighted to see any of you in the Twitch chat!

Thank you Vance very kind of you!! I glad my sillyness helps someone.

Yes, it is really important to share your experiences and concerns with others as you learn. Studying alone can become very isolating.

I got already my JS certification and now I need to work in my Web Development projects. I have tried both Bootcamps in february but I got too busy. One is enough if you just start from zero.

And I just started the next curriculum (Front End Development Libraries) as well, to no get bored. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: But for now, the most important are the projects and a course in modern JS and DOM I am in.

If you see a dog following in GitHub it is me.

See you around, keep the good work!! :muscle:

Riding studying lessons with you all makes it fun and less stressful. We all have common goal and we also have individual goals that we want to achieve, as we collaborate together, we become happier and achieve the common goal. like a classmate said: Don’t give up, be grit and greedy with your ultimate goal.

I will be happy to keep in touch with everyone who is willing to make a difference in their life and environment. here is my twitter and linkedin.

Hiya all! Carlos that was a way nicer wave goodbye than I could write up myself. I’ve reached out for a connect.

My linked in profile is also not that much spruced up but it’s there - so feel free to reach out. Not a very frequent user but it’s there. Other ways to connect would be twitter and discord Syl#7856 feel free to DM/friend request.
