Underwater mountains

I missed a bit the underwater mountains when mountains were defined in lesson 1. Lesson 2 however made things clear: Plate Tectonics, The Mid-Atlantic Ridge, Mauna Kea, showed that a lot is happening under the sea level.

We don’t cover it in much detail in Mountains 101 but seamounts are very interesting biologically too. One of the last ‘frontiers’ to still explore on our own planet…
